We are proud to offer TWO school day child care programs, with scheduling options to meet a variety of family needs!
- Afterschool at YOUR SCHOOL provides care onsite at your child's school for 2 hours after dismissal.
- Before and After School Child Care at the Y provides care at the Y starting at 6:30am each morning until 7:00pm, and it also transports your kids from the Y to their school.
The mission of all Dodge City Family YMCA child care programs is to instill YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, & responsibility. Our programs ensure that children are under the care of our trained and qualified team.

Both child care programs have scholarship opportunities for students on free/reduced lunch. Free/reduced lunch qualifies you for a 30% scholarship when you provide us a copy for your acceptance letter. For more scholarship options, apply at the Y through our Everyone Belongs Scholarship Program.

AFTERSCHOOL AT YOUR SCHOOL
Afterschool at your school is for any child ages 5-12. Children receive homework help from qualified, trained staff members, enjoy a healthy afternoon snack and participate in purposeful play in a safe, nurturing environment.

$15 nonrefundable registration fee.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE is available through our Everyone Belongs Scholarship. Apply at the YMCA Welcome Center. If you qualify for Free & Reduced Lunches, your child automatically qualifies for a 30% discount. Please e-mail a copy of your Free & Reduced Lunch acceptance letter to our Family Coordinator, Whitney, at whitneyd@dcksymca.org.
Extended Hour Before and After School Child Care at the Y
Before school: 6:30am and will transport to their school
After school: End of school day until 7:00 pm
Before and After School at the Y takes your kid(s) to school in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. (At least 5 students per school must be enrolled for pick-up and drop-off.) During their time at the Y, your child will enjoy snacks, arts & crafts, physical activity, and educational activities in a safe and nurturing environment. They will have homework time and receive homework help from our caring, experienced, certified staff.
COST PER WEEK
- Before: $25/member; $35/non-member
- After: $60/member; $80/non-member
