Our sports programs keep kids active, teach friendly competition and introduce healthy practices for life. YMCA sports staff, coaches, and volunteers encourage children to reach their full potential. Sports and recreation at the Y create a healthy outlet for children to gain new skills, learn to work as a team and connect with positive role models.

Little Hitters

At YMCA Little Hitters, youth will learn game fundamentals, like catching, throwing, batting, and base-running in a fun and supportive environment. Our clinics progress with age to keep the game fun at every level! Parents are asked to help with their child.

T-Ball

YMCA T-ball combines team play and individual skills to provide a fun environment to learn and grow! Teams are guaranteed three weeks of clinic practices and three weeks of competitive games. If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, please reach out. YMCA team jersey required.

Baseball

YMCA Baseball combines team play and individual skills to provide a fun environment to learn and grow! With three divisions for boys in 1st-6th grades, there is fun competition for all ages! Teams are guaranteed three weeks of clinic practices and three weeks of competitive games. If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, please reach out. YMCA team jersey required.

Join the Action as a Volunteer Coach

As a volunteer coach, you can make a lasting impact on the lives of our community’s kids. You’ll help our young athletes develop their skills, build confidence, and learn important life lessons about teamwork, sportsmanship, and perseverance. 

It’s also a great opportunity for parents to bond with their kids, family members to pass on a love of the game, or for college kids to get volunteer hours! 

COACHING REQUIREMENTS 
  • Minimum 3-hour commitment per week: At least one practice a week and games on the weekends 
  • Maintain communication with the Y Sports Director 
  • Attend coaches meetings 
  • Be at least 15 years old 
  • Maintain communication with parents about practices and games
